They're cheek cells, so yes epithelial cells, but not sure about the cornified part.

Apparently the cornified part comes into play when they are in heat? I don't know, she was telling me about it. She is taking a vet lab procedure class and gets to play with urine and blood all the time now.

In heat?! Hrm...well they're my own cheek cells, and I don't think I was in heat..? But that sounds like a cool class to take!
