This was stunning.

A rec to this popped up on my twitter timeline, and after reading the summary, I thought - yes, I'll take soul-crushing fic to go with my morning coffee. So glad I did. It's perfect. Winchesters, through and through. Heartbreaking - but breathtakingly beautiful in the way the love shines through in every action, every line.

Initially started this sentence with My favourite part is...until I realized there are too many to choose from. Reaper Dean. But, Sam. All the self-sacrifice. The ending. Jesus Christ, the ending. All the little details - Sam collecting the bullets he's killed himself with...

So, yeah. Just. Amazing.

This was such an interesting and awesome take of the trials and the consequences of Sam never finishing them. I ached for Sam having to kill his brother, his life after Dean's gone, and then not letting him die. Laughed at Dean's reaper antics (really tho, leave to him to pull such a thing on Sam), and man that ending, perfect. I thought: "did she just pulled a Pirates Of the Caribbean on me?!" Sam giving his heart to Dean because it belongs to him and so he can stay dead reminded me of it hehe. But with Sam and Dean that action seems to be more poetic and meaningful.

LOL, oh man. I haven't even thought of the ending of Pirates in ages, but you're totally right, I guess there were some similarities in that!

I'm so so glad that the ending worked for you (poetic! what a compliment!!) and that Sam's sadness made you ache and that reaper!Dean still had enough silly antics in him to be in character. Thank you very much for reading and commenting, babu.
