Author’s Notes: First and foremost, I want to apologize for somehow taking the incest out of the Narnia universe. Guys, I don't know how it happened. The only explanation I could find was that I naturally ruin everything that is pure and good. This was written for spn_cinema where I claimed The Chronicles of Narnia. Anyone familiar with the Narnia books and movies will see that I have gone completely batshit on canon. My intention when writing this was to do a fusion, tell a completely new story of what happens in Narnia when C.S. Lewis is not narrating. I ended up being seduced, though, and you’ll find that I did steal quite heavily from The Magician's Nephew and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe especially. But there are bits from other books/movies in here, too, and some dialogue I either lifted or changed slightly. Hopefully it will still be compelling and feel like a different chapter in the universe! Also, some of my characters have taken a slightly blasphemous position in regards to dear Aslan-sorry in advance for that! Thank you to wutendeskind for somehow getting this beta'd on time even though I was the latest late to ever late, to lightthesparks who spontaneously and very generously offered to do some bonus art for this and then ended up making ALL the icons and posters I even hinted at wanting, and to ordinaryink, who I blackmailed into drawing me faun!Misha. :D
Summary: Narnia AU: Jared is expecting a long, boring summer stuck in the country with his crazy uncle. Instead, he trips through a painting and ends up in a different world, smack in the middle of a war. Now it's up to Jared to survive in Narnia, learn who to trust and who to stay away from, and decide which side he's willing to fight-maybe even die-for.
