My hair was starting to get kind of tangly, so before my shower this morning I broke out the clippers and reinstated some discipline on my high & tight. When I was a teenager, I wanted to have some kind of asymmetrical haircut - y'know, long on one side. This was the 80s, so anime styles hadn't made it over to North America just yet. I never did do it, because I was in the Army at the time. And when I travelled to Berlin in 1988 and '89, and saw all the Berlin housewives with coloured hair and asymmetrical haircuts (and leather pants) on the U-bahn, I gave up on the idea.
Since then I've always cut my own hair, because I'm too cheap to pay for more than the clippers and anyone can give themselves an OK-looking short job.
I've grown to like the Freshly Released Mental Patient look; you can too!

i just got to my mom's place in beverly and i'm in town (chicago) for the weekend. tomorrow i'll be spending the night downtown-ish. perhaps i may see you from across the street and wave.
but then i suppose i'd have to know what you- or master yupa- looks like.
