April 7th-9th First days of studies and some conclusions

I'll start with the frustrating bits; in order to be accepted on the Plant Physiology practical courses, lightbird must bring up the 3rd semester Note Transcript to prove that she has passed Biochemistry. Something similar might apply to Neurophysiology. Also, I've realized that making friends amongst the Bio students will be hard, if not impossible, and, in a way, I do not feel very eager. I don't know what is the problem. Something just snapped and I thought; I won't try. I mean, the time when I would feel terrible about being ignored and would pursue attracting attention to my personality is long past behind my back. Perhaps I am a freak saying that I would like to make friends with people whom I can relate to. Or perhaps I'm forgetting to feel anything at all.

Good things; the lectures are really detailed and well lectured so far. Plant Physiology will deal with more biochemical aspects than I'd probably see at lectures in Latvia. Neurophysiology probably also wouldn't be available for me at home. And I'm participating in a seminar subject on Charles Darwin's influence on scientific research nowadays. It doesn't matter if I believe in Darwin or not, the seminar themes all sound promising and I'm eager to hear every one of them.

No specific Easter plans this year, but I'm going to have a look at Hanover in the morning, and probably will go somewhere else on the other days, too. Also, Magda and I are planning an affair of sorts... about which I might tell privately in case of at least moderate success.
So, probably will write something on Sunday or Monday again, sorry for the stubby update.
