i have a very vague memory of being in a big room that was mostly white and there being a bunch of people i didn't know. my mother says, based on other details, that this must have been a funeral i attended when i was only about 18 mos. i have VERY clear memories starting around 2 and my theory is that, the earlier you start going to school, the earlier your memories will be. they've studied the way memory works and children's memories become much clearer when they start to grasp time, and i think that going to school and being on a regimented schedule must contribute to this. i was in pre-school, not just day-care, from 2 on.
