NYE Plans, Truck

I dropped some serious cash at the liqour store in preparation for tonight. While I'm not much of a drinker, I've found that drinkers are attracted to those who bring drinks. Just what I want, some drunk girl coming after me ...
No really, I do enjoy the occasional few mixed drinks on a weekend, and I was basically out of stuff. I picked up some scotch (Johnny Walker Red) on sale and some Bailey's for mixing into coffee (or taking shots). Those are for myself. I also bought some standard tequila and margarita mix to bring tonight. I don't have any salt though, forgot to buy the salt. This means I'll probably have to go back.
Re: tonight
I still haven't decided where to go or what to do. I can go to a party with some folks at church, which I'm pretty interested in. The nice thing about church people is you know they won't get out of hand. If they _do_ get out of hand, someone's going to mention it, and the next few weeks the pastor's going to be preaching on the evils of alcohol abuse, making you feel like a total tard. There's also a few guys at work that don't really have anything to do, so we might just collect. I also got invited to a party at a co-worker's house, but she lives way the heck out in Flower Mound or something like that, which is 50 minutes away from where I live. I also don't have her phone number and I forgot to grab and address, but I can get both from someone else.
So what am I going to do? Truthfully, I'm feeling pretty lazy this year. I'm not wanting to go out and be real social, so I may just stay home and hang out with a friend from high school. My parents are going out to some fancy dinner party then going back to someone's house, so we have free reign of the house. Is that lame? Maybe it is lame, but I'm not in a caring mood.

Well, today is "work on my truck" day. I have to change the oil, wash it, and fix the side mirror that's been busted for a while now. If I haven't gotten tired of working on it yet after all that, I might get under the hood and do some other poking around. I just hit 40k miles, so it's time to start being more observant about its behavior. So far no major problems other than a minor sensor failure.
