Week off of school! Woohoo!
So I figure I should write an entry about the musical because I realize that if I don't record the events now I will regret it later.
Blanket statement: Awesome. Totally kickass. We rocked, people loved us and it was good. I think I'm just going to do this day by day.
Thursday:
This was opening night and the night with the best audience IMHO. The energy was really good and I think this was the night with the least amount of flubs. After the show, we went to Denny's, as per tradition. I ate a sandwich and tried to flash people. Then we tried to convince Kenny and Christian that they should get married. Our reasoning: "Think of all the breadmakers and fondue sets you'll get! And we all want to go on a roadtrip to San Francisco!"
Friday:
This was the night I had trouble with lines. I just couldn't spit some of them out, but other than that the show was great. After the show Rachel had a party because Katie O'Rourke had come out to see us but she couldn't stay for the cast party on Saturday. So Rachel had a party just for her, isn't that sweet? I actually behaved somewhat appropriately at this party, although I did try to distract the pool players with my cleavage. In my defense, it was an homage to Angel Kircher and it didn't really work anyhow; the players enjoyed it too much. Carpooled to and from the party with Emily Bugger, so I got a chance to talk with her, which was cool. She's seriously one of the easiest people to talk to.
Saturday:
I think Thursday was the best night for the show as a whole, but this was the night I did my song the best. Also, fun times at the cast party. Jess got kinda mad at me because I took off my skirt. Come on, do you have any idea how long it's been since I've kept my clothes on at a cast party? It's become a habit. Other party highlights included half of the party attendees climbing into Jessica's parents' tub and some of us finding out how many people would fit into the shower (13).
Oh, and:
(Rachel and Chris are hanging out in Jessica's bed. Rem walks in)
Rem: Oh! Sorry, Jessica just told me that her room was a cool color. And it is! It's very nice, it reminds me of someone's eyes! Bye!
Tee hee. They're bad.
Love,
Connor
