posted this in 'other' journal and though I should post here too
Came home last night to find the former roomie had come for his stuff and not only taken most (but not all), but he'd also taken 1) the cord that connects from my computer to the wall for internet (he had it setup so he had wireless while I was plugged in), 2) the DISH box and 3) the FUCKING DVR!
Bastard! I have been over at my mom's all week long getting ready for this garage sale. I haven't gotten to watch any of my recorded shows yet AND he did this to me on the day where I have 5 shows to record that night.
Fuck him, I no longer mourn the loss of his friendship or him.
---- Update: Called DISH got everything reinstated and installed on Sunday. Now have DVR back and I'm a Tivo-ing fool. Decided to wait on getting home phone and net back on as I really want to get a new computer (My little Hal is now 6!) and I can't really condone paying an extra 50.00 a month on something I do 40 hours a week (ie: sit on my ass in front of a computer)

I've been talking to a guy who saw me on Yahoo personals and then hunted me down thru myspace because he really wanted to talk to me (I don't have paid yahoo account). He seems really nice. A totally opposite of the norm I date (ie: not a geek), actually... he reminds me a little bit of Bubba (). He's older and ALOT more experienced than me (has a kid and has been married 3 times, though one of those times should have been annuled cause girl lied and said he knocked her up), was in the Navy but got injured and is now on 100 percent disability (though he can move around OK, said he was surprised he got it actually). We haven't met yet and maynot for a few weeks as he has full custody of his son and I'm like super busy with visitors and going on vacation next week. We've talked about every night or so for the past week and he seems really interesting and all, but dude never lets me talk. I try to and he just barrels on. I've even tried to interupt and be rude(ish) in my interuption, but nada. Usually I just sit there and let him go on and on and nod my head in agreement cause I can't get a fricken word in edgewise to the yay or nay of what he's saying.
I'm okay with not being the center of attention and the conversation all the time, but I would like to speak once in a while. I'm tempted to call him out on this as we are both very sarcastic, 'call you on shit' kind of people, but as I haven't met him yet I'm afraid to ruin it all before it even got started. I have really high hopes for this guy and its not cause I'm desperate and lonely either. Though we are different minded on some things, we share a lot of the same feelings on the more important stuff (at least in my mind).
*sigh* I hate dating.
