A note on the Jane Austens (of which there are plenty - why not just have them all in a ubiquituos "The Complete Works of Jane Austen". Fleh!) : I've read at least one, but I can't remember which, since frankly, they're all identical. Upperclass girl meets upperclass boy falls in love has troubles overcomes them then marries. I've seen a bunch of movies too if that helps.
