5th of May (that's in a month) I'll be in Canada. I'll be coming home the 27th of June.
What will I do? Well, apparently I'll work at UQAM (Université de Québec à Montréal), which translates to "The university of Quebec in Montreal". I'll be working at this place called CRILCQ, which is an abbreviation that I can't be bothered to look up right now, but it's something like centre de recherche blah blah liitérature quebecois. Soo...it might have something to do with literature - frankly, I don't know. As with everything in this organisation, they don't seem very eager to let us know in good time. A week beforehand we'll get a mail about when we're supposed to be where. In the meantime, we're supposed to find somewhere to stay for 2 months and generally make everything click over here. Woot.
Oh, we. Yes, luckily another french-student is also coming along, so I won't be alone organizing stuff in that sense.
But anyway. If someone here knows someone who lives in Montreal and happens to have an appartment to rent, feel free to contact me. Because whoo-ee, one month. Or less. The university have these residences, but they're solely for students enrolled at UQAM (apparently) but luckily they work as hostels during the summer! At a paltry sum of something like, oh, say, minimum 45 loonies per DAY. To live together with SEVEN OTHER PEOPLE. Like, wtf. Or $65 if I want to, you know, have my own room. ->
