Don't say what you're about to say.
Believe me, you are my fate.
And I believe you'll find a way,
or will you keep on falling until you reach the ground?

Charlie woke the next morning wrapped around a warm body with sun streaming in on her face. She could hear the rumble-growl of male voices down the hall, and the smell off fresh coffee tempted her nostrils.
Shifting slightly, her body felt sore and stiff, her calf muscles aching.
As she rolled over, she hit against a solid wall of male muscle. Smiling slightly, she sat up, leaning on her elbow and reaching over with her free hand to stroke a tug of hair falling down onto Jensen's forehead. His hair was getting longer than she'd seen it on Supernatural, and she figured it was because he had no stylists round to give him regular haircuts.
He rolled from his side onto his back and flung a hand over his eyes, groaning slightly, "Can't you close those damned curtains?" he mumbled, voice harsh from too much whisky, "M' brain feels like it's gonna explode."
He turned his head to look at her and grinned sleepily, eyes still shut, "You look gorgeous this morning."
"You haven't even opened your eyes yet."
"I know," he forced one eye open, "But I knew you would."
She leaned over and kissed him on the forehead, "You alright?"
"'M better than fine," rolling back onto his side, he grabbed her and pulled her to him, curving her smaller body into his side, morning erection curving into his belly.
She smiled lightly to herself and stroked the fine blonde hair on his arm, "I think Matt and Dave might be here."
"That's good," he mumbled, drifting back into sleep, "I can thank them before flying out."
"You're leaving," she stated, sadness clouding her voice.
"You knew that," he almost whispered, "Much as I wanna stay here with you forever. Got work and holidays with family."
"I know." she assured him, "I know this was just a one time thing."
Leaning over her, both eyes alarmingly open now he breathed, "Never said this was a one time thing."
She sat up and looked at him, "How is it supposed to not be a one time thing? We live in separate countries. Like you said, work and holidays and families. It can't work."
"Come visit me," he was sitting up now too, tanned skin glowing in the early morning light, "Come to LA after christmas and spend New Years with me. Couple weeks. You can meet my folks and my friends, or we'll stay in bed and explore each other. More of last night."
"I could," she was twisting the bedsheets between her fingers, "But what after that? We go back to our ordinary lives. See you later, it was fun while it lasted?"
"We see how we feel after a couple weeks, and then we figure it out from there."
"What time do you fly out?" she asked quietly, not looking at him.
"Gotta check in about 11am." he told her, looking away.
"I'll drive you. I need to say goodbye."
He nodded and kissed her lightly.

Charlie stood as Jensen presented his ticket to the lady at the desk, her arms wrapped around her stomach. He turned to her as the woman took his suitcase and smiled at her, "You feelin' ok?"
She shook her head, "I just can't believe I got to spend a day with you and now you're leaving me."
He pulled her to him and she wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her ear over his heart, "'M gonna miss you," he mumbled into her hair, "But you have my cell number and my MSN and I'm gonna get you over, ok? It's not the end."
She nodded, and then mentally kicked herself for acting the way she was. Pulling away, she attempted a smile, "Sorry. I have no idea why I'm so emotional."
"It was all the sex," he grinned cockily at her, "Because I'm just that good."
She smacked him on the arm and turned around, "You wanna get coffee before you have to leave?"
He nodded and they wandered over to the coffee shop on the other side of the airport. Getting their coffee to go, they made their way slowly to the gate Jensen was boarding at, sitting opposite each other in hard plastic chairs, "So," he looked down into his drink, "This felt as right for you as it did for me, didn't it?"
She nodded slowly, looking out the glass windows at a plane taxiing down the runway, "Yeah, yeah it really did."
He looked at her, green eyes burning into her soul, "If this is going to work out," he told her, "You know it's going to, right?"
She nodded again, "Yeah. If it's meant to me, it'll happen. In some way."
He stood up as his boarding call sounded, "I gotta go get on a plane, but I'm going to speak to you soon, ok?"
She stood up too and wrapped her arms around him once more.
Leaning down, lips met lips in a bittersweet kiss, everything they wanted to say to each other clear as day.
"I'll call you when I get in Sydney," he promised before he walked away.
She watched him walk down the hall and around the corner, his pause to wave at her before he disappeared altogether.
She turned away, thinking about empty promises and sweet, whisky flavored kisses.
