I was digging through old documents, looking for my birth certificate and all (I was born at 11:57, the Germans are very exact). I found four copies of a certificate in German that I can't use here and couldn't find the one I need. Go figure. I also found out I didn't get a social security number until 1993 and it looks like my name is misspelled on the print out... Oops.
Anyway, some of the things I found were my dad's old school records. He never really talks about college but he was actually a surprisingly good student. He was in the top 1% of his graduating high school class in "mathematic abilities" (he went to Chamberlin and his graduating glass had 750 students, that is as many student who were at NCF when I entered). I found college report cards with straight "A"s and certificates for math honors societies and academic achievement awards.
I have got my scores from the CLAST- which I passed, thank god. But my dad never mentioned that he took it too- and scored pretty freaken good on it. He got 100% on a section that I got 56% on. (But I got 100% on logic and he didn't haha). My CLAST scores are odd, I failed the algebra section and did poorly on arithmetic but did pretty good in geometry and statistics and got a perfect score in logic. You used to only have to get a 260 but now you need a 295 to pass. It feels weird looking at the hard evidence that he was so good in math (I can't even understand the titles of some of the math courses he took) when I am so terrifically bad at it.
Anyway, I have a doctor's appointment to look at my foot. I thought it was a blister, my roommates said it is a wart and my school nurse thinks I have glass in my foot. I pretty sure she is wrong but we'll see.
