Lately I've been a bit busy trying to juggle school, homework, real work and my most recent sport, rugby. I'm hating on soccer big time, and since I've decided this year is going to be my last season, that equals me definitely not wanting to play for the school team. Since I will become a fat blob without a sport though, I decided I needed to do something, hence rugby. I've always been interested and wanted to play, but I've always chosen soccer instead. Not anymore. It's such a great game. I'm still learning, and have lots more to do before I become even moderately good, but the natural athlete inside of me is helping out a lot.
The team is split into two, fronts and backs, fronts are the ones that are in the scrums and rucks all the time and are generally a lot... bigger. Backs are the ones that score tries and are quick and speedy. I am a back. Outside center, to be exact. It's really great. Not only do I get the glory by making gains and scoring trys, I also actively participate in the tackling, which I fucking OWNED at today, btw. I caught this one girl off balance and came at her fast and low and hit her so hard that I lifted her up and plowed her backwards. Carly (Walker) tells me it's called a dump tackle. She's very proud of me. I feel really excited and freakishly butch at the same time. Talk about bringing stereotypes to life, lol.
So. Tomorrow. The Other Boelyn Girl. Portman. Johansson. Together. And I'm going to see it tomorrow night at Silvercity. That way no one I know will see me if I have a she-boner in the theater. HAWT.
