"Calm down," he said, his hands coming to her shoulders. It had been too long since she had felt this way; protected by big man hands. "You're shaking." The stoop suddenly felt small and Serena took a step back, her back hitting the wall softly. Dropping her head, she took a breath, still not speaking. "It's okay, baby."
"I didn't say it wasn't," she responded, looking up. "It is. It's fine. I'm fine."
"You're just nervous."
She nodded, following it with a small shrug. Andy leaned forward and nipped at her lower lip, his hands sliding down her side, resting at her hips. She smiled, something she hadn't done for the entire car ride.
"You have this way of grounding me." Whether or not Andy caught the double entendre, he was against her in a second, grounding her into the wall, his lips on hers once again. Her hands rested on his back as she leaned up and into the kiss.
"This is a wedding," he said, breathless. "This is happy. Shiny."
"Happy. Shiny," she said, applying pressure against his pants. She grinned. "Got it." Stealing one last kiss, she pulled away from him and straightened herself out. What she had started she'd finish later that night but not there on her parent's front step. Clearing his throat, Andy ran a hand through his hair before ringing the doorbell.
It took longer than expected but the door finally opened and a glance between Serena and Andy was interrupted by her brother's presence.
"Ser," he said, looking her up and down. Serena didn't hesitate to hug her brother, his hands not exactly settling on her. "It's...good to see you." She stood there for a second before taking in a breath and stepping back.
"This is Andy," she said. Her brother smiled uncomfortably. "What? You don't approve?"
"Ser-"
"No. You don't get to do that. You just met him. Get to know him and then fucking hate him..." Her voice was raised and Andy shifted weight on his feet.
"It's not that. I'm sure he's...great." Her brother eyed the wall next to her and Serena's eyes narrowed. "He sure sounded great - on the intercom - during dinner."
"...Traffic," Serena shot back, eyes a bit wide. "It's why we're late."
Her brother nodded and stepped away from the door before making his way back into the dining room.
"Well, that just blows," Andy said. Serena agreed.
