Management has finally accepted my paperwork.
Phase 2 of me becoming a UPS package car driver is complete.
It only took god knows how long,and god knows how many days of consistantly bothering the poor fellow at Human Resources. It also helps that my Union Shop Stewart thinks i'm fucking awesome.
(Phase 3-5 should take 3-4 days)
Phase 3 will be my DMV paperwork being turned in and accepted
Phase 4 is a physical driving test (behind the wheel of a 950,a very big package car)
Phase 5 is a Medical Physical that will be given by my doctor,includes drug test.
After Phase 5 is complete i will take a weeklong course that will teach me how to use the DIAD III. The DIADs' are those little brown computers that the drivers always have with them. After a week of inclass boredom is a weeklong onroad ride along that will better show us our future routes.
Hopefully they'll accept me and i'll be driving soon.
