... and now a bad guy using what sounds like Old English. 'Fyrian [something I don't recognise'] which sounds like 'eye-t'] gildan'. That's not Middle English, It's got the intonation of Old English...
I think their spell-writer must be a Middle English person with a very dodgy grasp of Old (which to be fair is harder. I couldn't write whole spells in it.. and I wouldn't try). The OE is turning up mispronounced, mis-declined, too many verbs in it, verbs instead of adjectives... but it IS OE. Cross my heart.
