A few weeks ago, I was at a medieval and late antique studies conference. Wandering back from dinner on the second night, I was talking with a nice person who teaches literature in Utah, and a late Antique archaeologist from Malta. Utah-literature scholar was regaling us with the tale of the class on Victorian literature in which she had to explain the concept of dildo to innocent Utah dwelling students. So I took the opportunity to ask these eminent scholars how premodern dildos were made. Utah-literature scholar knew they were made of leather, but not HOW they were made of leather.
Archaeologist came to the rescue, with evidence from late Antique Alexandria:
leather dildos were made like very high quality shoes: thin layers of leather wrapped around each other and hardened. We think the inside was probably hardest, and the outer layers softer. The stitching would be very fine cobbler's stitching. Apparently several dialogues (that's a genre of play) survive from Alexandria in which wealthy women compare the skills of their cobblers...
So there you go. That is one kind of sex toy you could manufacture using Narnian resources.
