zauberer_sirin. Merlin/Arthur, R. It's pure <3... angst, but delicately handled. Arthur has to shift his mindset and Merlin is smug. Some absolutely gorgeous metaphors and turns of phrase.
Plus, lgbtfest. I dunno, I think there's something to be said for the Slash fandom trope where orientation/identity crises just don't HAPPEN. It gets aggravating after a while, but there's something pretty cool about the way fantasy gets reworked so that it's just not an issue. On the other hand, lgbtfest, with its explicit mission statement of Writing About Queer Issues, is pretty damn awesome, and produces a whole new set of narrative opportunities...
