I haven't got my hands into Susan's character yet. She's not very... giving, when it comes to character study. She's not callous, but... yes, maybe cold.

I'm noticing that- you keep coming at her sideways.

In the case of this piece, I can't imagine she finds it easy to connect to people with her entire family extinguished.

Well, 'her natural due' implies that she'd do it to anyone, that's all. Well, to me. Drabbles have personal interpretations like that.
