okay so its been awhile.
spent a couple of weeks at home during which time i saw nearly everyone that will read this. that was awesome.
did some time at the beach, got shit-tay, which was also awesome, as usual.
anyway, ive been at Camp Laney in Mentone, AL. for 2 weeks today training to be a counselor and today was opening day. its not over yet, but i can tell its one of what my uncle calls a real "AR". william, you feel me. its been cool, but since i work the ropes course, im in the same boat as lots of the kids-- i can't wait til they open up the big rides(the huge-ass v-swings and the 120 ft zipline) so i can send the little guys off of them, go off them myself and have fun pretending to be a ropes course badass.
and i cant wait til the the dances with the two nearby girls camps either.....
im reminded of the movie Wet Hot American Summer. someone out there know what i'm talkin about.
i do wish i was at home, sometimes, though, to see some old friends and get drunk in my comfort zone.
on another note, i recently resumed correspondence with my friends jono bird (sydney) and brian phan (san diego), which was really REALLY cool. jono and i are plotting a joint-foy brothers expedition to the land down under this christmas. promises to be loads of fun. in an email he sent me the other day, he sent a link to some online photo galleries containing pictures of people i knew in sydney, among others. it was a total mindfuck--some where different, some were exactly the same. it included some pictures from our year's graduation, and i couldnt help but wonder in a state of nostalgia....
fuck aging, id do it again.
