Ginny tastes like pumpkin juice and sugarquills the first time they kiss.
It’s too sweet, and Hermione has always been warned against indulging in sweets. She knows she should listen to the advice, but it’s difficult to think clearly when Ginny is licking into her mouth. It’s not her first kiss, and it won’t be her last, but it’s memorable in its own way. She sucks the sugar off of Ginny’s tongue, craving more, and they spend hours kissing beside the lake in the fading afternoon sunlight.

It’s too bitter, and Hermione feels as if someone has reached inside to squeeze her heart because this isn’t right. This isn’t Ginny.
