♥ Happy July 4th to anyone who celebrates the holiday.
♥ This weekend is sort of bittersweet for me. I've got several days off, which is nice, but it was a year ago tomorrow that my gran got sick and went to ER. I sort of associate '4th of July' with her sudden deterioration and when we lost her, even though she died on July 16 and not July 4. It's a mental thing, so I've been getting increasingly antisocial and sad in recent days, and it's kinda hitting me today more than usual. I can't believe it's almost been a year that she's been gone. *hugs everyone*
♥ So, yeah. I'm trying to be productive this weekend and do things that aren't sitting around being sad and melancholy. I'm doing my best to update Starship every day, cause it's eating my brain, and I've been seeing lots of Kirk/McCoy prompts at st_xi_kink that I hope people fill and I've been catching up on some reading. We'll have final tally counts for hermionebigbang on Monday, because we granted the weekend as an extension for folks to get their rough drafts in. I've been reading some things as I get time, and we're going to have some amazing longer Hermione fics come September 19th. So excited.
♥ There's a Kirk/McCoy PWP type bunny that keeps hopping around in my head. I might end up trying to write it just to get it to go away so I can focus on figuring out a definite idea for Star Trek Big Bang, which I need to start writing in my downtime after updating Starship. More hours in the day is what I need. LOL But, man, I do love having a ship eating my brain like this, even if I've never been particularly OTP-ish before. Just something about these boys!
