♥ James/Sirius
One by
heather11483. Rated: Any Age. Summary: Sirius and James arrive at Hogwarts. Note: I love James/Sirius. It's one of my favorite slash pairings, so I'm bouncy that Heather has claimed them over at
7snogs. This first story doesn't disappoint at all. The characterizations of James and Sirius are just so perfect for 11 year old boys with a bit of attitude and insecurity. Go read this and tell her to write more!
♥ Draco/Neville
Better Solution by Anon. Rated: Adult. Summary: Draco didn't get off unscarred, at the end of the war, and if he had to get used to his new life, that didn't mean he wouldn’t take something better if it came along. Note: Ah, another of my favorite slash pairings. First, characterizations. Draco was just spot-on, especially for the circumstances, and Neville was lovely, too. The house elf is a great addition to the story. The plot that guides it is interesting, and I really enjoyed the disabilities that both characters were dealing with. It's also got some great UST and resolution by the end. Lovely longer one-shot.
♥ Moody/Percy
The Fisher King by Anon. Rated: Adult. Summary: In which quests and grails are overrated, and virtue is not. Note: I almost didn't try this because of the pairing, but I was intrigued and generally enjoy Percy, so I gave it a chance. I'm so glad that I did. The characterizations are really well done. Percy is amazing, and Moody is wonderful. It fits so perfectly in canon and it has such great emotion that it really lingered even after I'd finished reading. If you like Percy, don't get scared by the pairing. Just take a chance and read.
♥ Fred/Hermione
Tricky Business by Anon. Rated: PG13. Summary: She flirts by the textbook, though she is probably unaware of it, and I immediately feel rather bad for her, because she doesn't have a hope in hell. Note: This is an AU fic told from a POV that's different and entertaining. I just smiled throughout this and went "awww" and laughed several times. The characterizations are great (notice a trend in fics I rec? LOL) and it just flows beautifully. I loved seeing events in canon from different viewpoint and seeing a possible post-DH world with our Fred.
