I liked this very, very much. I did wonder at Hermione doing that - making the decision for her parents instead of giving them a chance to say farewell and perhaps help in any way they can albeit from afar. Thanks for writing it - I'm in awe at how you've managed to write so much post-DH fic when I'm still processing :)

Thank you, honey! And, as the comment says below, I process as I write. The twins hit me the hardest, so I've tried to work through that with a couple of fics. This choice of Hermione's felt IC for me, but I couldn't help thinking about the consquences, too.

I think the idea is that they had to have their memories wiped, otherwise they might be able to betray Hermione if they were found and tortured.
