Birthday
I have had my birthday in many places in my life. Often in New York with a feeling of longing attached to be somewhere else. I hide that urge to do or be somewhere special by running around the city and seeing friends. Which is awesome, but it was cool this was a year I could actually go do something. So I am currently in the middle of a two week vacation in California - half in Northern CA, half in Southern. Today I went to Monterey California with Nicole and her baby. Its in the 90's all over the US today, the kinda summer weather I LOVE. But I have to admit driving down the 101 through the layers of fog- feeling like I was quickly entering a new climate, where the heat and sun gave way for gloom, cool breezes, and fog- it was great. We spent the day at the aquarium and walking around town. Jeanne couldn't make it as she has been kinda getting more and more sick in the last few days.
Today was just a good birthday. One to remember. When I got home Jeanne and her parents surprised me with a cake and we had dinner in the backyard. We watched stranger things as the sunset and now everyone is fast asleep. Night everyone.
