Fading Pumpkin Light...
This Halloween turned out pretty good in that unintentional way. It was a lot like 2009, in many ways: It was warm, it rained, started with Cat at a bar with her friends and her most recent crush. Like before it was awkward and not what I wanted, so like before I left.
Like before I tunneled (subway) my way to a different part of the city. Before it ended with Lauren in Union Square at the W hotel. This year it ended at my apartment with Mark watching an awesome movie Trick or Treat as the pumpkin fire slowly burned out, and eating cracker jacks.
Halloween brings out my creativity, my excitement, my darker side. Anyway, children all over the city are tucked into bed with a stomach full of candy. Party goers are passed out possibly with their costumes still on, and the light from pumpkins are slowly flickering out. Once again I say goodbye to Halloween for next years adventures...
