All I can think about is our upcoming vacation, the only thing I have to do is talk to Ben, swim with dolphins, fishes, and beautiful reefs. I can't wait to go diving. I think we might get our deep water certification while we're down there. Ben and I finished our open water dives in Monterey the other weekend. It was way more fun than I thought it would be. First of all, Monterey is cold. C-O-L-D. we're talking 52 degrees. Serious double wet suit time (7 mm at that). Also, the saturday dive was a little freaky since there was a plankton bloom. The water was around 3-5 foot visibility. it was brown, chocolate milk brown. anyway, the dive was really cold, despite visibility and coldness. The second day was way better, and we saw a harbor seal only about five feet away. They are so beautiful and are incredibly playful. We also saw an otter swimming along. Very cool. And this awesome Dune-like landscape turned into an anemone forest. Plus, who knew there were so many varieties of sea stars.
Anyway, I can't wait until we get to Honduras and the water is more than 30 degrees warmer and it's all tropical with tons of wildlife variety.
I am cool with the underwater community. I can't wait to get night dive certified and deep dive certified.
