i still believe it when you say "its another perfect day"...another perfect day...
ok...i havent updated in over a week....so here it goes...
ok....last thursday was my last "real" day of freshmen year...went to school and went to all of my classes...but got out at 11:30....went outside and waited for everyone to get there and for rob to come pick us up so we could be on our way to colorado! but noooo....rob was late...as usual...they finally came around 12:15...then we went to oak ridge to pick up my mom...then finally left to start the 25 hour drive...joy! well we stopped a few times here and there...i was so tired and pissed off that i had to ride in that damn van with 11 other people...but we stopped in nashville at this super nice and humongous hotel....its like the size of 4 or 5 large malls....so yeah...its HUGE! well we spent the night there...and got up and left around 8 the next morning
friday morning...left the hotel about 8:30....stopped a few times here and there...stopped in st louis at the "gateway to the west" (thats the big arch for those of you who dont know)...it was really cool...and we went up into it also...i took lots of pictures...i love pictures! so we left st louis around 7...and decided that we had lost alot of time and that we really needed to drive through the night to get to colorado on time...wow...driving through the night in a van with 11 other people is absolute HELL...i would suggest to never ever do it....
i woke up at like 4 in the morning on saturday (we were still in kansas...continuing on our drive through the night...) and patrick was the only one awake...so we chatted for a while and just looked at the full moon and how it lit up the enormous cornfields that just go on and on forever...it was really pretty...but i soon fell asleep again....someone woke me up a few hours later...we were like an hour away from boulder, colorado (thank god!) and the sun was rising....it was really pretty too...cause the land is completely flat out west...so yeah it was like...wow! finally made it to colorado university around 9....kim checked us in and we went to our dorm rooms...i unpacked and took a much-needed shower...then i took like a 4 hour nap....i was sooooooo tired...plus the time change killed me! we didnt really do anything the rest of the day....but the opening ceremonies started at 7:30...so we went to that....meghan almost passed out when it was over...then we went back to the dorms...and went to bed
sunday morning i got up around 8....showered and got dressed....tried to eat breakfast....and then we went over to the prop storage place to make sure everything was ok....and of course some stuff was broken...i was freaking out...kenleigh was crying..meghan was stressing and so was daniel....blllah...but we got everything fixed....ran over to the lunch hall to grab some food....i couldnt eat though....neither could anyone else....we were all so nervous....ran back to prop storage after the lunch...threw our costumes on and went to pre-staging...we were there for a while..i almost threw up i was so nervous...at this point i knew we couldnt win...it was finally our chance to preform though...thank god...everything went really well and we did an awesome job....everyone was excited about it too! afterwards we went over to the event center...and had to set up for the float and banner parade...which took FOREVER...me and meghan snuck away though to go get some dinner and to go get dressed....by the time we came back the float was ready and it was the best damn float in the whole parade thing...we won an award for NC....because our float (which was a pirate ship) kicked ass! wahoo...everyone wanted to take our picture...it was hillarious...afterwards we took it apart...patty went dumpster-diving and found a cool hat that some kid has thrown away with a costume...we also found a huge piano made out of cardboard! we then went back to the dorms...changed...went to get some food...and went bowling...it was fun...and i kicked ass! went back to the dorms around 12:30 and went to bed
monday i got to sleep in late because we didnt have spontaneous til 3....so i woke up around 11...showered...got ready..and went to lunch with everyone....sat there for a while...went to the creativity festival and did alot of nothing....finally headed over to spontaneous around 2:50....i was so nervous...but i thought we did pretty good...went back to the dorms afterwards...changed....and went over to the rec center....meghan and i were gonna play tennis but it started lightning like 20 seconds after we got on the court....so we went searching for stuff to do...found daniel and patrick...they were bored too....so meghan went swimming and me patty and daniel and i went to sit with kim...patty then found a super awesome frizbee on top of the trash can...so he and i went outside to play with it...but about 10 mins later some college guys came up to us and said that they left the frizbee there last night...so patty gave it to them....which sucked cause then we didnt have anything to do....so we went to dinner...after dinner mom took me patty kenleigh matt and my little bro to the mall....i didnt buy anything...but it was good to get away from the campus! went back to the dorms around 11...and i went to bed
tuesday ((our last day)) was alot of fun...woke up rather early....showered...went to breakfast...then around 12 everyone but kenleigh went to the national park...wow it was so beautiful there...we drove all the way to the top of the rocky mountains...it was soooo freakin freezing up there...and there was snow on the ground...like 3 or 4 feet of it! so we started heading home around 5....stopped to eat dinner so we could make the awards ceremony on time...so yeah we made it there...it was really nerve-racking being there...but we knew that we didnt do well so i didnt really get my hopes up...and as predicted...we didnt even place! wahoo...go us! after the ceremony meghan and i went to the bathroom to change....then we headed on over to the party....it started around 9:30....me and meghan ditched the guys...and kenleigh left and went off somewhere...so meghan and i went to dance...we found kenleigh later and ended up leaving around 12...it was alot of fun though! got back to the dorms a little later...and we had to clean up cause we were leaving really early the next morning! so we started cleaning....but me meghan and kenleigh were talkiing in the process so it took twice as long....we finally went to bed around 2:30
wednesday morning we were woken up by rob pounding on our door at like 6....wow i was super tired...but i showered really quickly and got ready rather fast as well! i finished some last minute packing and was then told that my ride to the airport was outside the dorm....so some of the guys took my bags down to the driver...and i said goodbye to everyone...it was super sad...but i was soooo thankful that i was flying home! : )....got to the airport and had some time to kill....i saw soooo many OM kids there...it wasnt even funny! my plane left around 10....i read a magazine that i had bought most of the flight....we finally landed in washington around 3:30....i then got to the other gate around 4...but my flight wasnt supposted to leave til 5:15...so i got a snack and sat down and called some people...i was sooooo bored! my flight finally left....and i arrived in greensboro around 6....i was going back to the main entrence to the airport and then i saw coach kent ((yes stacey...i saw your hott student teacher/my assistant soccer coach in the airport)) and stopped to talk to him for a bit....then i saw my dad and we finally went home....wow it was soooooo great to finally be home....so i watched the tape of the O.C. season finale and went to bed
thursday i woke up late....tried to study but i couldnt...so i just studied for geometry...blllah...dad came home later and we went to dinner...it was nice without my mom and bro being there...so i went to bed...
friday morning i woke up...studied a bit for geometry...showered and got ready....matt called and we made plans for saturday night...: )....dad took me to school around 12....i went to the cafeteria and found nathaniel...so we sat down and waited for stacey...erika came and joined us! yay for erika! stacey finally showed up....it was good to see her...i missed her dearly while i was gone...so we sat for a while and then i left right before the bell rang so i could try to find out where i could pick up my yearbook...well i then went to my geomety class to take my exam...which was pretty easy....the bell rang...and it was really sad because it was the last day of freshmen year...: (...but yeah happy at the same time! so i went to get my yearbook and then got on the bus to go home...came home and just watched tv for a while and did a whole lot of nothing...went to bed rather late though...
saturday i woke up around 1...just layed around for a while....ate some food...and watched some tv...matt called around 3 and told me that he was going to pick me up around 5....so i showered and got ready...matt came....and i left with him in his hott car....we went back to his house and waited for his friend connor and his "date" to get there...we then left and went to dinner...stayed there for a while though cause the movie wasnt til 7:15....goofed off at the resturaunt and then left...we went to see the longest yard ((which was a really good movie if i may say so myself))....the movie ended around 9 and so we decided to go back to matts house and watch the grudge...eh....that movie wasnt very good at all....but it ended around 12 and so we just sat around and talked for a while...matt took me home around 12:30...i came home and went to bed...
today i woke up at like 2....my grandparents and aunt were here...i showered and got ready...but then just layed around and watched tv the rest of the day...studied for a little while but then decided to get online....now im really really tired and tommorow is my last day to study before i take my make-up exams....: (...so i guess i should get some sleep...
