Another year, another list. So here goes 50 films and 50 books in '09. Feel free to recommend anything. Ratings: 5=loved it, 4=really liked it, 3=liked it, 2=it was okay, 1=hated it.
*Besides the
50bookchallenge, I'm going to attempt the
15000pages challenge (though I'll actually be going for 20,000+ pages). Wish me luck.

I'm such a fan of dancing. I don't dance myself but I love watching it in movies and I enjoy following reality shows revolving around it (Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, America's Best Dance Crew). Twilight...well I may have had a liking for the books a long time ago but I'm not much of a fan since all the hoopla started up. LOL. It was fun to see in a cringey sort of way, I guess. I don't know if I'll watch New Moon. Bride Wars was a lot of fun! I'm glad you found it funny too. I've only read two Sophie Kinsella books, Confessions of a Shopaholic and Can You Keep A Secret. I liked the latter far more than the former. These days, though, I don't read much chick-lit, I'm more of a romance reader. I agree HP was a darker film than the others but I thought it was great because there were added moments of humor. I like Harry and Hermione and well I got quite a few scenes with them which was nice.

--- Yes, I did like the series, though it was a long time ago I read them so my taste might have changed since then at lest when I read them I liked them :) Actually I have a Kindle now :)
Do you happen to have a goodreads account? Since we have a lot of similar tastes in books, I'd love to add you over there.
-- Yep, got one just this month! I am "somuchfic" :)

-- I don't dance either and haven't watched the other two but watched a lot of the DWTS seasons :)

--- I read the books long before the movies were ever going to happen. As for the hype - I don't listen to any of that or get involved in any of that.

-- Oh yeah, that was just too funny :)

--- I've read a HUGE amount of both types of books, actually I write teen and romance books myself, almost been published in the romance genre myself. I have actually owned and managed several romance review websites over the past 10 years and am working on starting another one as well, all have been very popular too - with quotes in popular books.

-- I agree, I like Ron but I think Harry and Hermione are my favorites too. Actually I think Goblet and Hallows are my favorite books and I think they will be my favorite movies too.

I might have to pick them up again. A Kindle? I always wanted one. I do have a Sony Reader. Lately I've been reading more ebooks than print books.

Have you had much time to explore the site yet?

DWTS is quite addicting. I could watch those pros dance all day, LOL.

I did too! Someone on my friends list recommended it to me. It's amazed me how much of a phenomenon it's become. Have you ever read a book because the hype around it?

Oh wow, that's really amazing! Any particular sub-genre like historical, contemporary, paranormal romance? I started reading romances in 2007 which according to some people is fairly new. I've become such an addict. I'm quite fond of the YA genre too! Who are your favorite YA authors? I've just started to follow review blogs and some of the blogs of my favorite authors. Would you mind linking me to your websites? I'd like to follow your reviews if you don't mind. :)

Hallows was fantastic. Besides that my other favorites are Prisoner of Azkaban and Order of the Phoenix. Are you looking forward to the last films?

I love the Kindle, TOTALLY worth the money! Actually, I get PDF files from people on the net (and sell them) for like $1 a book verus $8+ for paperbacks and $20+ for hardbacks and then convert it to the Kindle format. Saves a lot of money! Lemme know your fav books, I might have them you can put on your Sony, cause Sony takes PDF.

Actually, not really. Have to take more time to look it over. How is it?

I have, just to see what the fuss is all about and to form my own opinions, but usually not, usually I just read what I want or find.

Oh wow, 2007? I started probably in the early 90's sometimes, like 93-95. I was really young, but it helped my comprehension cause I was so bad at reading, now I speed read, lol. Actually, I've gone through all the different genres. I have many fav authors in all of the genres, if your interested. Though I've read a ton authors overall, lol. Cherie Bennett, PC Cast/Kristen Cast, ahhh, too many, will make a list for you lol for the authors, just too many. Well, as for my websites, A Romance Review is still open and pretty popular I think. Romantic Interludes was open, no longer, and as popular. My new site; Mostly Romance, will be open in a few months. I'm working on it. If your interested in participating - let me know!

Ooooh, yes! I am, I am SO glad they are splitting it up into two movies, sorry we have to wait 2 years for them both overall but better because they won't rip half the book out when making it and leave out so much stuff that's good. It was sad in Goblet of Fire - they left out the big stuff about the house elves, and I loved that!

I know! It really is an investment, one that I'm glad I took a chance on. Aw, thank you for the offer. Honestly at the moment I can't think of anything. Maybe you could recommend something to me, that would be great. I'm always looking for some. If I come up with some titles, I'll be sure to let you know.

I love it! I've met some great people over there and had some fun discussions. Additionally, it's a wonderful place to write thoughts on books and organize any lists you have. I'm sure once you get a chance to check it out, you'll like it.

I'm just breaking the surface, aren't I? LOL. I'm glad to hear how those books have helped you grow. If it's not too much trouble, I wouldn't mind seeing a list of your favorite authors. Half the time I'm getting recommendations from friends and enjoying what authors they throw at me. Good luck with the sites! Be sure to let me know when it's all finished. I'd enjoy visiting and taking a look around.
