Our big day
Since I have lotsa time on my hand, I decided to do abit of research on our wedding venue. Every forum or thread I visited was discussing about the same ol' same ol', hotel weddings! Argh, someone excite me pls??!! Anyway, we decided to ditch the whole idea of a ching chong chinese hotel wedding and instead try something different like a semi outdoor restuarant or something fun. We don't know yet.
So anyway, I made a tiny list of what I've short listed but we still need to see the place before we decide.
1) My Humble House @ Esplanade. Very reasonable price and environment looks good on the website. However! It's sit-down affair. Hmm...if I decide that I'm too lazy, I may just settle for this.
2) Villa Halia @ Botanic Garden. Reasonable price but stuff like flowers, parking passes and invitation cards are not provided. And I hate to go through the hassle of sourcing, I rather have a one-stop solution. So, anyway, this place is nice but will need to go down and chekkit out tomorrow.
3) The Pump Room - That is if they do wedding functions. Emailed them to ask so will need to wait for a response. But I thought it'll be fun to do it in Pump Room and maybe engage Jive Talking to sing a set or two?? That'll be aced!
4) Club Chinois - Not too sure about this place though. The tall one claimed it is 10 freaking years old already! Eeeps! But then again, the website looks good!
Ok, 4 hours of hardcore surfing and these are what I've found. Pathetic. Will do it again tom. My eyes are tired for now.
Oh btw, anyone any suggestions?! Feel free to leave a comment ok?
