INGRID MICHAELSON!
First paid!Gig so I guess I need to sort of document it.
1) Yes, that's the official Setlist. LYNNA GILMORE TAUGHT ME WELL. (Higher resolution photo will be posted soon.)
2) Ingrid played an awesome ukulele version of Radiohead's Creep & ended the gig with Elvis's Can't Help Falling in Love.
3) SYDNEY PEOPLE ARE AMAZING. Everyone pretty much knew all the songs. The energy was great.
4) OH, SHE PLAYED HER AWESOME VERSION OF OVER THE RAINBOW! Apparently the first time in years, so she needed help remembering the lyrics AND CHORDS. So some people were shouting the chords and when we joined in when she couldn't remember the lyrics. PRETTY MUCH THE FUNNIEST/COOLEST THING EVERRRR.
5) "If 17-year-old screaming girls were my type, I would be set for life." Referring to her teenage groupies who were screaming their asses off.
6) Oh, someone gave her a Koala bear with a letter. SHE OPENED THE LETTER AND READ IT TO THE ENTIRE CROWD. HILARIOUS.
7) Referred to Justin Bieber as an embryo with a wig.
8) OH. OMG FUNNIEST THING. She didn't like doing the whole walk-of-the-stage-and-pretend-to-be-done-then-come-back-for-an-encore so she and her bandmates gathered at one side of the stage and they talked trash and 'came back' and played the encore. FUNNY.
9) Her vocals were crazymadawesome. I MEAN SRSLY. SHE HIT NOTES I NEVER KNEW EXISTED.
10) OH AND IT WAS A COMPLETE ACOUSTIC SET.
11) The venue was great! It was an old factory. They renovated it and turned it to an awesome gig venue. THEY SHOULD HAVE ONE LIKE THAT IN SINGAPORE. Oh, and I think that was why tickets were cheap! Cause the venue was cheap! (It was in the middle of nowhere. Honestly. Took me 2 hours to get there. I AM OFFICIALLY GOOD AT DIRECTIONS AND NAVIGATING MY WAY THROUGH SYDNEY WITH THE NOTSOAWESOME PUBLIC TRANSPORT. Oh! and I found this awesome awesome suburb, on the way to the venue, filled with crazy cool cafes and awesome one-of-a-kind shops! I'M BRINGING YOU THERE DHUHA.)

12) She made us do some actions for the chorus of The Hat. "So we form a heart first. and then the heart breaks. & cause there's a happy ending we do um, JAZZ HANDS!" I LOVE HER.
Done! Reached home at about 2.30am. (THERE'S A NIGHTBUS I'M OFFICIALLY HAPPY. )
