A little paraphrased wisdom from Jawn Ha, who I had the honor of taking a class from today.
You know, in school, you don't get a test on the first day. You learn a concept and you go home and do your homework and you get better at it first. This is the same thing. When you ask appropriate questions during class, that's me giving you the tools to go home and do your homework, and from there you can take it anywhere you want it to. If you want to shape it more towards my aim, or if you want to make it all your own.
And then when he showed us the entire choreography at the end, he reminded us that when a creator performs for you afterwards, they're not trying to show you up or anything, they're just trying to show you what their aim was.
