(no subject)
ugh. First day on new, for-real job. I said I wanted a job that was more active, and damned if I didn't get one. I got up at 3:30am. I finished up work at 2:30pm. No overtime though, totally different system.
Over the last week I've seen a lot and learned a lot and have done a lot of things I've always wanted to do (in the process of which I was assaulted by a number of semi-animate objects and have the bruises and cuts to show for it), but DAMN. I'm wiped. I'm not sure I've got what it takes to do this job long-term, but I'm gonna try. If I lose this job next week (which I understand has a pretty good chance of happening), I'll still count this as a positive experience.
