Scorpius, who was only a few feet behind Rose, watched as students passed them into the Great Hall - which seemed a wee bit different from the one he had been in only earlier that morning. It seemed less old, in some ways. As he tried very hard to pinpoint the people he was looking at, trying to recognize them, it dawned on him how very much in trouble they were.

“That’s it. I’m going to kill them. I’m going to strangle Albus and then I’m going to murder Scorpius.”

"You're going to kill us?" Scorpius asked, a bit shrilly. He was, in a matter of speaking, freaking out. "I had nothing to do with this! I wasn't the one messing about with a Time Turner. It's hardly my fault that I walk into a bloody cupboard, and Potter is such a spastic dolt that he drops the bloody thing."

It was clear, simply from the amount Scorpius was babbling, that he was very, very nervous. His hands were clenched at his sides to keep from wringing them in an anxious fashion and there was a little shake in his voice. If he didn't have any self control, he probably would have been repeating 'Bloody Hell' over and over and over again. With possibly a few 'Oh God' and 'Dear Merlin's in there and a bit of pacing.

In fact, he was trying very, very hard not to do just that.

“This is slightly problematic, y’know.”

“Shut up, James. You don’t even know the meaning of the word.”

Scorpius stared at them. How were they still joking a time like this? Bloody effing Weasleys. Didn't they know when they were in massive amounts of trouble? Didn't they realize that one doesn't simply just travel through time, let alone god knows how many years in the past? Didn't they realize that it was practically impossible to travel forward in time? When you used a time turner, you went back maybe an hour - and you had to relive that entire hour. How were they supposed to live years in the past? What if they weren't even in school yet? Worse, what if they weren't even alive yet?

"Oh god," Scorpius mumbled, clenching and unclenching his fists. "I'm going to murder Albus. And you two! A Time Turner?! Oh bloody hell."

Poking past them, Scorpius looked into the Great Hall. He couldn't resist anymore. He couldn't not see how far back in the past they were. It was very difficult, of course, because things didn't look that much different really. His eyes scanned the Great Hall, looking amongst the students for a familiar face. Maybe they weren't that far back in time at all. Maybe he was over-reacting.

And then he saw him.

"OH MY GOD," he practically shouted, stumbling backwards. He felt faint. He was going to pass out. He was going to hyperventilate and then faint. He was going to - "Oh my bloody effing Merlin God thing."

He was staring directly at Draco Malfoy. He recognized him from the portraits that had hung in his house - and obviously, his own father. Of course, he was much, much younger. Scorpius swallowed.

"What are we going to do?"
