So I'm looking to buy a car, but I have no idea how to do it. I mean, granted, there are cars you can buy for $500, but um. Yeah, likely they're not running or they're fugly or what have you. For a decent car around here, I'm looking at $3000 - $7000. Obviously I can't really afford that up front. I have no credit to speak of, so I don't know how I could go into a bank and get a loan or something.
But I really need a car. I have no other expenses, so paying for one wouldn't be a problem. I mean, right now my only option is fixing my brother's car and half-owning it with him. But he's not exactly a share-y kind of guy and I just know there'd be fights about it and he'd get all pissy (it's his car, but he can't afford to fix it, but I can.)
Why is getting started in life really, really hard? I can't afford a car without a job, but I can't maintain a job without a car. I can't get a credit card because I don't have any previous credit, but I can't get credit without a credit card. I can't get a loan without said credit. I can't get a loan without a job and I can't get a car without a loan.
Yeesh.
