Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile
Still feeling a bit blah last night, I picked up a book from my 'bought but never read' pile, figuring that as icky as I felt, I'd just peruse a few chapters and see how I liked it.
Long story short, I couldn't put it down and 4 hours later, I was just amazed at the end - I picked up the clues, but still did not guess the ending and who did it and why. And the characterizations! WOW!
There's not many that can do that... and she has loads and loads of books and plays and nonfiction (even a few romantic novels under 'Mary Westmacott', which I will have to find)... guess who's going to the library (and used bookstore)?
And all I can say is, Go. Get. Read.
