Out of sight, out of mind

I have been on sabbatical - apologies. But that can't go on; I miss you guys too much. And I miss writing! So I'm back, although I'm not even sure I can remember how to do this. But I must anyway. So there.

Please consider this small offering, originally inspired by c_quinn, as an apology for my total lameness of late ( Read more... )

*laughs* Awesome.

Jayne would've died before he'd own as much, but Mal was the first one he'd look to when things got a little crazy.

And strangely, momentarily sweet. Jayne's hardly my favorite character in Firefly, but he was fun here. If only because he was so confused.

Oh, and by the way: OMG YOU'RE BACK YOU'RE BACK YOU'RE BACK!!!!

*cough* So how's it going?

You watch him in the series - Mal owns him. Seriously, Mal can get Jayne to shut up just like that. Nobody else can do that.

And what do you mean, hardly your favourite character? Jayne gets all the best lines ...

Oh, and by the way: OMG YOU'RE BACK YOU'RE BACK YOU'RE BACK!!!!

I am! And I'm psyched :D

*cough* So how's it going?

It's going great, thanks :) I have a few days off work, and although I'll be away, I'll have email access some of the time, so I hope to catch up. I see you've just posted something and it looks damn tasty, so I'll be into that tomorrow morning, I should think :)

How the hell are you?

This is true. And not just because Mal signs his paycheck. Or would, I guess, if he got...paychecks.

And what do you mean, hardly your favourite character? Jayne gets all the best lines ...

*laughs* It's just because I love Kaylee and Simon and Mal and Zoe and Wash more.

I am! And I'm psyched :D

Well, don't overdo it. I find that crass.

Hah, well, I hope so.

I'm good, I'm taking a bio class over the summer and my classmates are annoying, but I'm doing well in it; I'm about to be a senior and that's terrifying, I'm going to be in London in July, so that's...exciting. Overall, good times.

*laughs* Right. "Ten per cent of nothin' is ... nothin' ... and carry the nothin' ..."

*is suitably chastened. Sorta'.*

Hah, well, I hope so.

Yeah ... sortakinda couldn't wait, so I'm reading it now!

Cool. What's your big class?

Also - there's no way in hell you want to hook up in London ... do you? I get that you're shy so I don't want to push, but it would be truly, truly awesome. If you wanted, and if I could manage it.

No! Don't tempt me to get out the DVDs! I don't have the time!

*is suitably chastened. Sorta'.*

Mm-hm. Doubting it.

Yeah ... sortakinda couldn't wait, so I'm reading it now!

Oh, well, then. Just...hope you do enjoy it...then. And it doesn't scare you off just as you came back.

Cool. What's your big class?

Biology for non-science majors. I also get a lab credit, so that's...necessary.

And I would love to hook up in London ;) I will put aside my shyness for that. I'm also probably going to be meeting up with guanin at some point, so yes.

Sure you do! I mean, you only have one class ... right? ;)

Mm-hm. Doubting it.

Yeah, that's probably fair! *laughs*

Why would your fic scare me off? Silly V. I loved it!

Biology's really cool. I bet you're a total bio-nerd by the end of the summer. F'realz.

Whee, London! :D (Also, I didn't know guanin was in the UK ... ). Most critical question: what are your dates? Because I'm out of the country for a few, so hopefully it isn't then ...

Awful person, you are. Tempting me away from my very dedicated study of...what's this? Sexual reproduction? Fine, universe, clearly I wasn't going to get anything done anyway.

Well, you know how my self-confidence wavers. But trends downward overall.

*laughs* I'm doing well enough in it. It's just...I feel it's all memorization. Chemistry at least you use the memorization to do equations or likewise, but this is all...you just have to remember stuff, there's no way to logic out the steps of meiosis and mitosis. So that's a bit weird.

July 15-22. One of those we're going to be in Stratford, I don't remember which, but yeah.

Hey, always good to know how that stuff works ;)

Know it? I am it :P

Yeah, I guess so. No math!

July 15-22.

That sounds kinda promising. I owe a friend a visit to the big smoke anyway, so it's possible I could come down for a couple of days, see her, hook up with some virtual peoples, and then embarrass the pants off us both by being, you know, me and weird.

*sniff* I have very little personal interest in such things. I find it crass.

Know it? I am it :P

We all are it, really. It's a strange kind of trend.

Yeah, I guess so. No math!

No math and I keep wanting to ask "But why?" like the five year old that I am. But I hold back. Because I know that eventually with all sciences you get to the point where the only answer is "Because" or if you have my high school bio, "Because God did it."

*laughs* The big smoke? Really? You do know I was born in Mexico City, right? I can't imagine there being a bigger smoke than that. And bah, you won't embarrass me! Any more than I am normally embarrassed!

LOL! I do see your point :)

Hey, Mexico! We do our best in this tiny little country ;o) (I think La Ciudad is officially the biggest on earth ... showoffs ;)

Awesome - then you can watch me turn colours (the perils of pale skin ...)

Your dates, by the way, sound good to me - I need to look at my diary, work some stuff out.
