Hiro, even in the flesh, is foreign: exotic colouring almost untouched by the warm Texas light. Black and white, a piano amid woodwind and strings.
Loved, loved this.
Oh, and:
invisible men rendered in translucent swirls of blue-black ink
You just had to throw that in there, didn't you? ;)...
Anyway, this was beautiful.

Shows my utmost devotion to you...I thought you'd be pleased. But since you're not, I'll tell you that I'm answering this while waiting for class to start. At which point, I'll be at attention

Top, shmop! It was lovely and descriptive.

You're very single-minded. Which I knew. So there's really no reason to comment on it, over all.

It was great! Especially since it's such an unusual and kind of out there pairing, but it came off as very real. And very, very sad.

*g* I much prefer my students pay attention, so it would be hypocritical of me not to feel that way on behalf of your professors.

I know. *sniffle* I'm really glad you liked it and that it felt genuine - I had such a hard time with it for 3.5 weeks out of the 4 I had to write it!

Heh. Well, I'm sure what you teach is much more interesting...basically all we've done lately is review. Of course, the class this morning I answered before, we discussed the Aphrodite of Melos (aka, Venus de Milo) and the rise of eroticism during the Hellenistic period...make of that what you will.

There, there...it was awesome, and now you can move on to happy things. Right?

... huh. And tell me, did eroticism ... rise? ;)

Thank you ... and you haven't read my Big Claude/Bennet Fic that I posted earlier, have you ;)

You'd have to be the judge of that...by the way, hearing my little old grandmotherly sprite of an art history professor tell us all "I don't know how it was displayed originally, but I'll be the genitals were right at eye level" was...an experience.

Is it...happy?

Huh. Well, in the spirit of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, I'd like to think it has potential ...

It's mostly not sad ...

Well, he was a faun...and as we were informed, they're whole purpose was to be...overtly sexual. Raping wood nymphs and the like. Those Greeks were all pervs. (Whereas the Romans were very Republican...)
LOL! I bet.
The enthusiasm with which she said it...had definite scarring potential.

I think Claude/Bennet is always at least a little sad. Because you know how the end up. Gah.
