Characters: Peter/Claude-centric ensemble
Rating/Warnings: Hard PG-13, for violence and peril.
Word count: Just north of 2,000. Apparently, when it comes to fight-scenes, I don't do concise ;P
Spoilers: AU; technically there are little bits and pieces all the way up to 1.23 ("How To Stop An Exploding Man"), but you'd have to know them to see them.

Hooray for Bennet(ti) being wicked amazing and protecting his little girl; Bennet's badassery is kind of one of my secret weaknesses.
He's so very cool when he's being all protective. Actually, scratch that - he's very cool, period.
Clara's completely scarred for life, though, seeing Papa morph into a stone killer.
Not as scarred as she is by what happened to him.
You did really good with her this chapter; I liked it a lot.
Thank you - I feel that's the weakest section, actually, because I don't have a lot of space in this to write her how she is in the series. You know, with cheerleading and snappy comebacks and stuff.
And Peter and Claude. Wow.
They're the man!
Take that away, and Claude Rains is just a man.
Even though Claude heads immediately into kicking ass, that part made me wibble a bit.
Yeah. You're quite right - I think Claude has spent a long time defining himself in terms of his powers. But yeah, at least he's still hardcore awesome without his invisibility! :D
waaaay bad things are in store for Peter, I see.
He's got a long road to tread, it's true.
I really liked the last part of the chapter, with the bits of Peter-mind-reading broken by frenzied bits of action. Dashes! So many dashes! My favorite punctuation mark, after the semicolon.
I've become a total dash junkie! I'm sure it's not cool really but I can't seem to help myself.
Thanks for reading! Act two will begin in the next couple of days or so :)
