Update for the last couple of weeks. I went to see my parents, because my Mom called me and said she wanted to see me. I later found out the main reason she wanted me there was that my older brother was going to be there and with his kids. But, his kids cancelled so the reason for me to be there wasn't there anymore...My Mom forgot. It was a good night, regardless.
As my father was driving me to the subway, he was rather honest with me that he's getting a bit frustrated with my mom's health. It seems that her once hypoglycemia is now at a worse level than my dad's diabetes. She's arguing with him about taking her diabetes medication. Arguing about taking her "memory" pills. If she's not careful, she'll have to start taking insulin. Imagine the arguing over my dad having to inject my mom, instead of talking about taking a small pill.
Today I talked with my younger brother and said that we have to contact the Alzhiemer's Society and Baycrest Hospital (since Baycrest does a lot of family counselling with regard to Alzhiemer's). Even though she's only at the early stages of memory loss, if we wait until it gets more serious we'll have to wait longer for assistance and care. I also don't want my dad to get so frustrated that his health will suffer drastically. God bless him, he'll be 79 next month. Mom is 76, so they're both still young.
I went to see "Australia" on Thursday night. OMG, if I didn't already love Hugh Jackman, I certainly would after this. I was drooling throughout the movie. He's one fine specimen. If anyone's out there....I want one of these for my very own. Please help and locate/snare/kidnap/drug...wait, that's going a bit far. Nevermind.
Lastly....Someone from work has gone missing. Yes..MISSING. Police report filed Missing. He's 31 and just got married. No reason why he'd voluntarily leave anywhere. Passport is aparently still in his home. With the weather today...I'm really concerned. www.torontopolice.on.ca/newsreleases is the link. His name is Sebastien Herve. Please pray for his safe return.
