I had a massage this morning. I got it because of the back pain I have been having since the car accident back in March.
The massage was, in a word- INTENSE. I liked it but it was deep muscle massage- not what I would classify as relaxing. Now I am very sore... Actually, I just have a lot of tenderness... but overall I feel looser and better. The therapist said I would probably feel more sore tomorrow (Oh joy!) but then I should feel significantly better by Saturday.
Hooray!
Pain relief just in time for weekend festivities!

She also recommended I try an herbal remedy called "Arnica Montana". It is from a flower and is said to relieve muscle pain, strain, and inflammation. I need to do research on it. I also ordered a book on Amazon.com called "Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About" by Kevin Trudeau. I am also going to try soaking in an apple cider vinegar and warm water mixture.
I guess I am going to start taking better care of myself. UGH! Resistance is futile when you feel as badly as I have been feeling. I'll take homeopathic cures anyday over chronic pain. The "traditional" doctor's prescription is to knock me into oblivion with pain-killers. Although the idea of a drug-induced coma sounds mildly appealing, I have a 2-year-old to look after.
