Hello! Dropped in because I saw that you had a fic on the SWG page.
It's a lovely piece. You have a gorgeous style, and your characterization is very compelling in it.
I am intrigued by the way in which you depict the decision to forgive as being one distinct from repentance. The fact that Elrond has already forgiven Maglor before he decides to return for judgment is as compelling as the fact that Elros does not. I also thought your concluding lines from Mandos worked well in the same vein; it might be harder for a son of Feanor to return to Valinor alive than to stay in exile.
Well done. And, if it's fine with you, I'd like to friend your journal.
I already commented on this at the SWG, but I figure twice can't hurt, right? (Besides, it makes for a better "Oh by the way I'm friending you" comment than, well, just saying "Oh by the way I'm friending you". Right?)
This is such a powerful story. I wish there was more to come! Even on second and third reading, when I knew what was going to happen, I found it very chilling and moving.
And, um. You've probably been asked already, but in case you haven't - would you mind if I nominated this for this year's MEFAs?

Thank you!
As I've stated other places, that theme wasn't consciously put it, but I've never conflated the two in life, so I guess it showed here.

That's exactly what I believe, and why this Maglor made an incrediably difficult choice.
I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
