Returned..WARNING RANT ALERT!
I miss looking out the window in the morn and seeing the Montreal Skyline.
I miss the speechless realizations and freedom the music I love reverberating off old concrete.
I miss seeing Opera on a busy street.
I miss alot of things..

Smoking anywhere and everywhere
Exploring my musical boundaries..and then hearing them expand.
People in that park/club
The metro..
..it can go on and on
Yes I'm back. And just when I thought Winnipeg could get no more exciting then a sloth. coming back from where I've just been..Its as exciting as a dead Sloth.
Maybe I'm just coming off the high of vacation, but seriously people! Winnipeg is sooo far behind in its logic of what " electronic music culture" its embarressing.
The majority of the culture here consists of kids on drugs..and those who actually respect and contribute passionatly to its progression over the age of 21..are at home wondering whats the point in going. I know there is a few artists in the city who try to think outside the box..somewhere here.
people in this small scene have to realize its not all Tribal Break Hard acid mumbo Jumbo Super star DJ expic sets ..thats just the rave side of it. If anything its that stuff that is killing the culture.
Coming from a city that can imbrace the abstract. Is refreshing. It aloud me to say "Hey wait..there is a scene of people that is very serious about exploring electronic music". Not just showing up at some warehouse and going ape over spray painted toy babies that went missing..or hanging on to the remenants of rave culture and what it did 6 years ago to them. Really its sad.
I'm sick of that, I'm sick of hearing,seeing, and viewing that.
Theres gotta be a way to get those who love the actual process of rediscovering sounds in electronic music..get off the couch and say "Hey I'm sick of that too"
