My Birthday, etc...
First off, I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for the comments today, all mostly on Facebook, it really truly made my day to hear from almost all of you. Some I honestly didn't expect and that was really heartwarming :-) So nice to have you all even though you are 3,000 miles away now. *hugs* to you all!!!!
My roomate, AnneMarie, surprised me with buying tix to NYC this weekend. We were constantly back and forth due to money and all but she let the cat out of the bag this afternoon and I am super excited to go!! It's sure to be overwhelming.
I found out this morning on my way to Cambridge to my new 2nd job, via the Metro paper, that U2- of all bands and all the favorite things in my life- are performing a secret (not so secret anymore) show in Somerville, MA at a 900 capacity venue.
Un-effing-believable. I wish I could have known more in advance somehow. I would be out there standing in the cold with the crowd of thousands and thousands of people. I am truly bummed and my mom even told me to leave work and she cannot believe I didn't call in and make an excuse. haha, I'm glad she understands my passion for music. (I really don't like newer U2, but it's the memories and old stuff that rock my socks)!
I got my tooth pulled yesterday, got some Tylenol 3 from the roomie which has put me in a wonderful daze all day. I am seriously beat though, 2 jobs...almost 14 hours a day spent at work. I'm beyond tired. I just need to get used to this schedule. I can't wait for the check though. I really wish I could stay at the cafe fulltime but i'd lose bene's and other things at Pitney. oh well, what do ya do? Not complain, I know, there are many out there wishing for hours and jobs.
Things seem to be looking up slowly but surely. Trying to keep positive. I'll be home in 45 days :o)
