Dr Who

I am discovering a whole new love for Doctor Who, centered on the tenth doctor, but not restricted to that- though I don't really want to go back and see incarnations before the ninth.

Still, I'm fairly amazed by some of the story lines, the fact that there is actually a very strong desire to create characters and stick to them.

And I am totally in ( Read more... )

You know- I've heard that, but I like that she screamed at the doctor when he asked her to bring coffee- taking the Companion to a different level. It's interesting because she's got a really cool history, as the Companion who has met what- five, six doctors, actually traveled with 2, been to Gallifrey, longest companionship in the Tardis... And now this whole new life as an investigator.

I think, in a way, she was the most emotional of all the Companions.

One of the thinks I love about Dr Who is that the stroy lines move through time - not time traviling moving through time - but let's take Sarah for example... I watched Sarah when I was 12 - I'll be 38 this July, and Sarah's story is still going strong. Now that's chricter development.

YAY, DW!

I love Sarah Jane's new show too. She rocks.

I love Nine, and I thought I'd hate Ten b/c he is SO different, but Ten stole my heart, hands down. I love Nine and Ten now in very ways. But Rose/Ten had the best chemistry, just like Nine/Jack had the best chem.

I actually like the chem between Ten and Jack at the end of season III- maybe because I thought Rose stole the show too much. But in season 3, I felt that there was a bit they were learning from each other- learning how to deal with each other, challenging each other, that was great.
As for Nine v Ten, I'll admit to being a little fonder of Ten, but yes, still have room in my heart for Nine ;)
Sarah Jane does rock.

I loved Sarah Jane. She was my companion, that was my era of Dr Who.

She was little and cute and brave, and she was in some great story lines with the brilliant Tom Baker (when he was brilliant and before he became a loony).

Ah, Sarah & Harry & the Doctor and Sontarens and Daleks and Cybermen and K9. Ahhh.
