I was going through my mailbox to clear out junk when I came across the email I sent out on my last day at my old firm, as well as the lovely poem which was written in response to mine. I heart my friends.

From me to them:

To those dearest to me here:

My journey at Drew has come to an end,
I wave farewell, adieu my friend.
It has been great fun, but it's time to move on,
To Watson, Farley & Williams I'm gone.

To AO and gang, oh man, what a team!
You guys made working at Drew a real dream.
The people, the work, the dinner and wine,
Made it so friggin' hard for me to resign!

To the rest of my homies, and vamp wannabes,
You made each day pass with the greatest of ease.
The long lunches and laughter, the calls and the notes,
Made sure it wasn't my body, down the river, that floats.

My friends, I'm not dying, so I'll see you again,
I'll still be around to annoy and/or entertain.
But alas, my poem ends with a teary sigh,
Con te partirò or "time to say goodbye".

From them to me:

Michelle our belle is leaving today
to follow the law the old British way
Her new law firm is waiting for her
all those long hours she will endure

Her flawless hair, her fashion sense
her proof reading of Visa never made her dense
One of her passions is all things retail
and how we will miss her attention to detail

With her mad room mate, she stayed up all night
ordering pizza and losing her sight
But she always had fun and laughed at it all
and admired the male models on her wall

She suffered under the famous King Kong
and endured her way for much too long
But all the while she was impeccably dressed
even though she was 100% stressed

So Michelle is gone and we always will miss her
her lovely smile, style, and haute couture
Good luck, goodbye and farewell
You will always be remembered as the lovely Michelle.
