Idiocracy
Why is it that the people who shouldn't be breeding are the very ones churning out the most kids seemingly? Two brief anecdotes:
1. Guyanese woman toting a skateboard comes into the subway car with her two kids, approximately six years-old, who proceed to plop down next to me. She then physically moves her daughter into my space-the daughter stands up on the seat and pretends that she is in the McDonald's play pit. I move across from the most obnoxious family on the F train yesterday, and the mother-of-the-year invites her two children to lay down across the seats which could have been used by at least five straphangers.
2. Parents across the street, who allow their four year-old son to "play" with their car keys whenever he is so inclined. This usually involves him repeatedly pressing their car alarm sometime between eight in the morning and midnight until his interest in annoying the rest of the neighborhood wanes.
Congratulations, parents! You've raised another entitled, narcissistic sociopath to add to the millions which already live in this city.
