Okay. Television cables can vibrate, right?
I'm open-minded. I am.
On my wing is a lovely man, named C. We had his wife, a few years back, and she passed at my workplace, and they had been married for decades and were very devoted to one another.
My one coworker, M, is adorable - she looks about twelve, and is a really hard worker with a definite lively intelligence and calm attitude. She's also a huge fan/believer in Things of the Occult; even goes to a psychic.
She will not go into C's room, believing it haunted by C's wife. Her portrait is on the wall, and - time and again - I've laughed it off, and teased M about it. I am sort of a believer, too - have seen and experienced too many things not to at least question..but C's wife was a lovely, sweet person, and I just cannot be afraid of her.
The dresser in his room is huge and antique, and came from their home. M swears that the one drawer opens by itself - and she won't go in there, because of it. The only thing touching the dresser - besides family photos, atop it - is the cable that goes to the television.
Night before last, I went in there to check glove supplies, and the drawer was open. I closed it, and went back out to the hallway, laughing, to tell my nurse friend, Connie, about M and her thing with that room. We 'awwww'-ed over M, and I said that I had to tell her that it was open, and that I closed it. I turned to go back into the room - and it was open, again. Ha. We cracked up. I closed it, again.
I went into the bathroom to fill a basin, as I was going to wash up C's roommate to help out first shift. Came out, it was open AGAIN. I paused, shutting it, and thought to myself, "Awww, you go ahead, honey; protect your man, you're welcome here,", as I walked back behind the roommate's curtain and set down the basin and grabbed lotion for his feet. Something told me to look behind the curtain, so I did.
And SAW the drawer open by itself. Swear on Neil Armstrong's footprint. It opened slowly and evenly, smooth as silk, about five inches. I SWEAR. Just as smooth as you please, nothing scary, just slow and even. WHAT.
I did the fastest wash-up in history and left it open. :)
You should have seen her face when I told her last night!
