too much excitement for one day.
So we got to the beach around 7:30 -8, went to Aunt Jeanette's to give her the flowers, and then to unload. After we checked the food supply, we did the only thing we were able to at the beach. We went to Food Lion. The storms across the state we pretty bad last night. A tree fell on Thai's pen when the storm first started here in Ahoskie. Thank God he wasn't in there. It's a good thing we went to the beach, if we didn't go, he would have been in his pen when the tree fell. And it wouldn't have been very good at all if he was in there. The impact would have killed him. It fell exactly where he sleeps. So, even though we only stayed at the beach for a few hours, I'm glad we went, you get the picture what would had happened if we didn't go. We got back just before mom left with grandma to go to Arlington. I was invited. Daryl was like, you might as well go, there's nothing to do around here. He's right.. but I don't like going up there, even though there's this huge mall.. the main reason of going isn't a reason I want to go.
On the way back, about 5 miles from home, there was a pond turtle crossing the street. Dad turned the truck around to help him cross, and he was getting ready to get out and get the turtle, when a white ford explore speeds by swerving to hit the turtle. I'm hoping they didn't mean to, and didn't know what it was. It was just... horrible. Just like the trees falling, but even worse.
